Sustainable Construction

Sustainable construction has recently become an important topic of discussion among builders and consumers. It has been said that within the next ten years, contractors who do not utilize sustainable construction techniques and options will not be able to compete in the market. This is because sustainable, “green” construction often provides significant economic advantages. Using a green system can offer buyers significant tax savings as well as an energy-efficient space that can reduce ever-increasing utility expenses.  Mod5 incorporates a  sustainable design to help your modular building reduce its ecological footprint.

 Modular Space Systems

Although there are many factors that go into getting a project a green rating, the Mod5 system has several advantages to push your project in the right direction. Some of these advantages include:

Reusable and Recycled Materials-Mod5 incorporates many types of recycled (and recyclable) material. The building itself is made of recycled steel and can be recycled again instead of sending the material to a landfill. The modular interior walls are also 90 to 95 percent reusable and offer the building owner savings in both relocation and waste-disposal costs.

Energy-Efficient Building Orientation
-Using the Mod5 system, your building can incorporate building-orientation techniques to utilize heat and light from the sun to maximize efficiency and minimize heating and lighting costs.

Options-Many options are available to help reduce your utility costs and improve air quality, including options for skylights, solar panels, low-volatile organic compound (VOC) carpet tiles, low-flow plumbing, and efficient HVAC units.

Recycle your old building- If you have an old fashioned trailer complex, we will replace your complex with a new Mod5 building system, take your old trailers and recycle them. This cuts down disposal costs and harmful waste in our landfills.
